It is with a extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing Past Department Commandant / Past National Commandant Lewis W. Loeven of Levittown, NY on June 15, 2024 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Marilyn for 65 years. Devoted father of Kathleen (Norman) Yanofsky, Lewis III, Christine Kramer, and stepfather of Elissa (Arthur) Brehm. Cherished grandfather of 7. Loving great-grandfather of 6. Adored brother of 9. Proud US Marine Corps Veteran, Past National Commandant of the Marine Corps League, member of American Legion Post # 1711, 30-year US Postal Service employee; Postmaster Franklin Square & Great Neck, and a member of St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church for over 50 years. Family will receive friends Thursday, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Homes, 603 Wantagh Ave. (Exit 28N SS PKWY) Wantagh, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 10am, at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church in Bethpage, NY. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
